Meet Gaines
I was fortunate to grow up in the beautiful Piney Woods of Alabama. My father took my brother and me out for simple outings such as catching brim and trying to plink turtles with a 22. Chasing whitetails was not an opportunity for me until I was about 16 years old.
After graduating from college, I ran my own business for a decade; but in my spare time, I was learning how to manage and chase whitetails. I always knew I wanted to combine my passion with my career, and when this opportunity arose, I took it.
Prior to becoming a Land Specialist with Coldwell Banker, I spent four years producing television shows that were shown on the Outdoor Channel. This allowed me to further my knowledge of whitetail habitats, tendencies, and hunting tactics across the United States and Canada. When my career took me to Texas, I eventually took a position that allowed me to help clients realize their dreams of becoming Texas landowners.
In addition to being a Land Specialist, my brother and I run a boutique seed company for duck hunters called Golden Millet. This company has grown substantially through the years with over 50 dealers located across the United States. I also manage an 11,000+ acre sporting club in Kansas for men who share the same values and ideas on wildlife management. These values include growing and hunting mature whitetails in one of the best habitats in the country.
My relocation to Texas led me to my beautiful wife, Jana, who is quickly becoming an avid hunter. In 2018, we welcomed our beautiful daughter, Emmy, who is growing up to love the outdoors just as much as her parents!
